Job Description:

The University at Albany seeks to fill two Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach openings in Athletics. These positions are responsible for educating, teaching and directing sport specific and individual strength and conditioning programs.

Between the two openings, one successful candidate will handle Women's Basketball, Softball, Women's Soccer, Volleyball, Men's and Women's Cross Country, and assist with Football.  The other successful candidate will handle Men's and Women's Track and Field, Women's Golf, and act as the primary assistant for Football and Men's Basketball. 

In addition, the strength coaches must be knowledgeable and serve as a resource for providing educational resources to student-athletes on nutrition, supplements and diet. UAlbany is a NCAA Division I institution that competes in the America East Conference, Women's Golf (MAAC) and Football is a member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA).




  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization in a related field
  • Minimum of two years' experience in Division I strength & conditioning programs 
  • Current certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association or the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association 
  • CPR/AED certification  
  • Applicants must address in their applications their ability to work with culturally diverse populations. 
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
