Union College's Athletic Department is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Men’s & Women’s Swimming Coach. This position is full time hourly – benefits eligible. The men’s and women’s swimming program is a member of NCAA Division III and the Liberty League. Union College sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports, 24 in Division III, with Ice Hockey competing at Division I.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with recruiting; monitoring the academic progress of swimming student-athletes; assisting with practice planning, communicating effectively with student-athletes, parents, alumni, and administration; and performing various duties within the Athletics Department.
Bachelor’s degree required; previous collegiate coaching or swimming experience preferred. The successful candidate should possess solid organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, and have the ability to identify and attract outstanding student-athletes to Union College. Candidates must have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, along with a philosophy compatible with a multi-classified liberal arts college with highly selective academic standards. Candidates must be safety conscience and able to work with a diverse group of students. Requires some evening and weekend hours.
