Develop and deliver comprehensive career services for Northeastern students and alumni, with emphasis on graduate students in master’s and Ph.D programs. Counsel graduate, and undergraduate students and alumni on career exploration, internship/job acquisition, and career management. Administer and interpret standardized assessment instruments including TypeFocus, SkillScan, and Strong Interest Inventory. Create and deliver seminars, networking events, and programs to meet evolving needs of graduate students. Facilitate employer outreach and develop relationships with employers to increase employment opportunities for graduate students. Maintain relationships with colleagues within the University, professional fields and employers. Assist in delivery of all departmental services, such as workshops, networking events, walk-ins, etc. Monitor trends in order to help shape priorities for the development of new programs and services. Supervise graduate level interns and practicums as part of the department’s intern training program. Maintain knowledge of career resources especially for graduate students. Experience in delivering programs with technology required. One evening per week required.


Minimum of a Master’s degree is required with preference in career development, and/or student personnel or higher education. Five years of experience in career counseling is required. Demonstrated skill in teaching and program management. Creative, and innovative with the ability to work well with a high performing team. Excellent interpersonal, presentation, organizational skills and experience with diverse cultures and backgrounds is important. Experience in delivering programs with technology. One evening per week required.
