AutoCad Technician/Architectural-Engineering Designer/FT

Albany Management has an immediate opening for an experienced  AutoCad Technician/Architectural-Engineering Designer for projects related to the commercial office buildings and apartment communities that we own and manage.

Applicant(s) must enjoy working with others, have exceptional communication skills, be team-oriented, and have a strong work ethic.  Attention to detail is a must. This is a professional work environment in a continuously growing organization! 

The successful candidate will work with our team of Property Managers and knowledgeably participate in the following activities:

  • Document Existing Building and Site Conditions (inspect, investigate, measure, assess finish conditions, etc.)
  • Determine NYS Building Code requirements
  • Design Office Layouts/Space Plans and Update Record Drawings
  • Draw Construction Drawings (floor plans, elevations, site plans, cross sections, details, schedules, etc.)
  • Prepare Specifications
  • Contractor Solicitation
  • Coordinate projects with tenants and staff
  • Scheduling, estimating and material ordering
  • Coordinate and inspect construction of small projects
  • Prepare Building Permit Documents and coordinate with building departments and planning and zoning boards
  • Prepare company procedures relating to AutoCad and maintain drawing filing system


Required Skills:  Proven proficiency with AutoCad 15 is an essential requirement.

Software experience required: Intermediate to expert proficiency in: Word, Excel, Outlook and AutoCAD 15.

Education/Experience requirements: Minimum of Associates Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

The full time hours are 8:15 - 5:00 with occasional overtime. Competitive salary including the following benefits: health plans, paid time off (vacation, sick, etc.), holiday pay, 401K, etc.

Available: Immediately.  Full Time.

Pay: Competitive. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
