Business Continuity Analyst

FISA-OPA has a vacancy for a Business Continuity Analyst. Under the direction of the Business Continuity Director, the selected candidate, with latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and decision making, will work with all levels of the organization to coordinate Business Continuity planning, exercises, update supporting materials, complete business impact analyses and support the Director to perform the following tasks:

• In consultation with all agency business units, perform regular quarterly updates to the agency Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)

• Plan, coordinate, support and document business continuity plan exercises

• Provide support for "tabletop" continuity exercises

• Create appropriate Business Continuity training materials and documentation

• Participate in NYCEM training to enhance business continuity skills

• Create, maintain and update the creation of "playbooks" that guide agency responses to a variety of event scenarios

• Work with agency business units to identify, document and mitigate risks found critical business processes.

• Conduct statistical analysis and reporting, as needed

• Identify, share, and maintain documentation needed to respond to various events

• Facilitate the documentation, mitigation, tracking and closure of open Business Continuity issues identified during real events, exercises and/or audits

• Develop and conduct ongoing staff/management training awareness of Business Continuity issues 



A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to projects and policies required by the particular position; or, Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above. 

Preferred Skills 

• Experience in development and implementation of Business Continuity Planning/Continuity of Operations Planning (COOP).
