The Communications Coordinator I will work in the Office of Quality & Patient Safety (OQPS), Division of Health Care Innovation (DHCI) to coordinate various aspects of activities being implemented under the StateInnovation Model (SIM) grant. Specific duties include: website design and communications, healthcare policyand research support, assistance with federal reporting requirements, as well as logistics and materialdevelopment for various stakeholder meetings.


Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or other related field and three years of communication experience or an Associate's degree in marketing communications or related field and five years of such experience or seven years of such experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a health care related field. Strategic communications planning experience across different mediums including proposal writing, presentation development, and developing formal communications to various internal and external stakeholders. Experience coordinating the delivery of strategic communications to varied target audiences, including identifying the appropriate means for distribution, executing delivery of communications and any associated public relations activities. Experience developing and maintaining communication workplans. Experience developing and maintaining a website. Experience writing code for website development and updates. Experience organizing and planning for large events with internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
