This position is full-time calendar year, permanent. Coordinate career and experiential learning activities (occupation education, internships, field experiences, project based learning, service, etc.) in the College of Arts and Sciences, in collaboration with University College’s Center for Career and Experiential Education, to help maximize students’ involvement. Assist faculty in creating high quality learning opportunities in students’ field of study. Work with the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office to update and create consistency for all experiential and curriculum information. Work with faculty and department chairs to continually develop new career, internship and experiential learning opportunities in the curriculum, including project based learning. Market career and experiential learning opportunities to both internal (faculty) and external (community) partners. Facilitate integrating career and experiential education into courses through curriculum redesign. Establish relationships with employers and site supervisors, including supervision assessment and continued development of internships. Work with the College of Arts and Sciences’ Dean’s Office to update curriculum sheets and advising tools (department Web Sites) for consistency regarding career and experiential learning. Provide group and individual advising, and teach associated professional seminars (1-3 credits) for undergraduate students completing career exploration, service learning, practica, course projects and internships. Design, develop, market and present educational programs and assessments specific to the professional needs of college students (undergraduate and graduate) and alumni. Perform other duties as required.
