The incumbent will perform computer application development in support of the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program. The incumbent will be responsible for the design, testing, implementation and deployment of Java applications that enable practitioners and pharmacists to collect and search for information related to prescriptions of controlled substances. She/he will be responsible for application development tasks including researching and documenting technical designs, programming solutions, writing and executing unit test plans, researching, resolving, and testing defects, and customer technical support. The incumbent will create appropriate documentation in work assignments such as documentation in code repositories and technical design documents. The incumbent will participate in the release management process including technical steps to promote, test and release through the development environment, coordinating with infrastructure staff. The incumbent will collaborate with grant partners throughout the project, participating in joint application design session with other technical and program staff and contribute to grant reporting activities. Assist with other grant related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and two years of professional computer programming and/or systems analysis; OR a Bachelor's degree and three years of such experience OR an Associate’s degree and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
The preferred candidate should have expert and demonstrated knowledge of mobile-ready responsive web design (RWD) concepts utilizing HTML5, CSS3, and the Sass CSS extension language.
Conditions of Employment :
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
