Job Description:

The University at Albany is seeking a candidate for a full-time Educational Opportunities Program position. This individual will report to the EOP Director and is responsible for personal and academic counseling to EOP students. The EOP Program is an access and retention support system for a group of non-admissible and low income admits. The successful candidate also facilitates both study skills workshops and a study skills course. The candidate must possess high energy and take an active role in encouraging EOP students to take full advantage of institutional academic support services as well as EOP services.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work or related area from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization
  • Prior experience in working effectively with economically and educationally disadvantaged students
  • Applicants must address in their application their ability to work with culturally diverse populations, and their ability to work in a fast paced environment.
