Equipment Manager

Grade / Pay Rate Commensurate with Experience

The Equipment Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper fittings and adjustments of protective equipment of intercollegiate programs for maximum protection against injury. The equipment manager will also oversee purchasing of equipment and apparel, maintain accurate equipment and apparel inventory records, (ensure that all equipment and apparel is ready for safe use), and oversee the distribution, collection and maintenance of athletic equipment and apparel. The Equipment Manager is also responsible for overseeing laundry operations and supervising, hiring and training work-study students. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred requirements is a Bachelor's degree and 3 years experience in equipment management at the college level (including hockey and football). Candidates must be detail oriented, well organized and highly motivated with strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills. Candidates must also be safety conscience and able to work with a diverse group of individuals. The selected candidate must successfully pass and maintain AEMA Certification, and possess the knowledge and commitment to abide by NCAA, League and College regulations. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
