The Families in Transition AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) Program is recruiting passionate and motivated individuals to join our team of professional volunteers living, working and serving in NH. We seek your help to inform recent college graduates of these great opp
ortunities. As a VISTA, your alumni would work for a year at a New Hampshire based nonprofit or government agency helping to fight poverty in the Granite State.
VISTA positions may include volunteer engagement, program design and implementation, community outreach, marketing, fundraising, and other activities that help organizations create effective and sustainable solutions to end poverty.
As a VISTA, you may work in a variety of service areas including homelessness, community development, entrepreneurship, after-school programming, and social support for at-risk populations such as youth, elders, or refugees.

As a VISTA, they will become part of a national movement that enables them to give back to their community and help break the cycle of poverty. Some of the many benefits include:

Additionally, you’ll receive a number of federal benefits, including health benefits, relocation assistance, medical and personal leave, and childcare assistance if necessary. You may also be eligible to receive some forms of federal assistance, such as food stamps, fuel and electrical assistance. Most VISTAs find the stipend and additional assistance adequate to cover their financial needs.
