The Families in Transition AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) Program is now recruiting for passionate and motivated individuals to join our team of professional volunteers. As a VISTA, your alumni would work for a year at a New Hampshire based nonprofit or government agency helping to fight poverty in the Granite State. VISTA positions may include volunteer engagement, grant writing, program design and implementation, community outreach, marketing, fundraising, and other activities that help organizations create effective and sustainable solutions to end poverty.
As a VISTA, you may work in a variety of service areas including homelessness, community development, entrepreneurship, after-school programming, and social support for at-risk populations such as youth, elders, or refugees.

Additionally, you’ll receive a number of federal benefits, including health benefits, relocation assistance, medical and personal leave, and childcare assistance if necessary. Most VISTAs find the stipend and additional assistance adequate to cover their financial needs.
