General Manager, Enterprise Sales

HourlyNerd’s technology platform is changing the way companies and talented independent professionals engage with each other to solve business challenges.  Our enterprise Sales team is growing quickly to meet customer demand, and we are looking for talented, driven professionals to join our mission. In your role as General Manager, you will be the sales and commercial leader of an industry-focused go-to-market team prospecting and closing new enterprise business for HourlyNerd and driving adoption at existing enterprise customers.

The ideal candidate has (1) experience selling enterprise software, consulting, or information services and (2) managing a team of sales/client-focused professionals.

Responsibilities include:

  • You will shape and execute the HourlyNerd enterprise sales strategy in your industry
  • You will identify Marketing opportunities in your industry that will accelerate HourlyNerd’s business in your space
  • You will manage and coach a team of 3-5 Business Development Associates, Client Strategy Associates, and others as your business grows to identify, close, and grow target prospective enterprise customers
  • You will understand the enterprise buying cycle and decision-making process
  • You will engage senior executives at prospects in your industry to convert them to mobilizers on behalf of HourlyNerd at their company
  • You will meet or beat the revenue quota for your industry team

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree (MBA, JD, etc) a plus
  • 5-8 years of sales experience, ideally selling a technology platform, consulting or information services
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and developing others
  • Self-starter with world-class work ethic and ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of “running into fires” and demonstrated “at-cause” approach to problem solving
  • Record of rapid advancement extraordinary efforts in some area
  • Perpetual curiosity, world-class work ethic, and insatiable appetite to get better
  • High energy, passion for ambitious missions, flexibility, and a sense of humor
  • Comfort in a highly-entrepreneurial, dynamic, and demanding environment
