The Health Program Administrator I has a wide range of responsibilities associated with the administrative and fiscal support of medium or large complex grant awards involving multiple organizations and programs within the Department of Health. The incumbent is responsible for grants, contract, budget and personnel management duties, which include: coordinating the development and preparation of annual progress reports, tracking and monitoring deadlines and facilitating all sponsor correspondence as required by the notice of award; managing the workflow associated with personnel recruitments and other personnel actions; the preparation, execution and management of contractual and consultant agreements which includes assisting with the development of work plans and budgets and monitoring progress and expenditures; and serving as liaison with program staff and external partners to resolve issues/problems and/or provide technical assistance. Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and three years of administrative experience involving personnel, fiscal or other related operational activity; OR an Associate's degree and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree may substitute for one year of general experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in developing progress reports and managing budgets and contracts; administrative and financial experience; excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; excellent attention to detail and proficiency in MS Word and advanced knowledge of Excel.
