The Health Program Coordinator will assist with the coordination of maternal and child health (MCH) initiatives related to the Title V Maternal Child Health Services Block Grant and quality improvement learning collaboratives such as the New York State Perinatal Quality Collaborative (NYSPQC) and the NYS Infant Mortality Collaborative Innovation and Improvement Network (IM-CoIIN). The incumbent will assist with program coordination to support evidence-based practice changes in participating NYS birthing hospitals and community-based organizations; coordinate project activities, team meetings, educational webinars with stakeholders and in-person events; assist with providing direct quality improvement support to participating stakeholders; compile reports and presentations; assist with the communication of project status to stakeholders; assist with the coordination project team member activities; serve as a liaison with both internal and external professionals; coordinate administrative components in support of project operations; program planning, development, and implementation.

Travel will be required, up to 25% of the time, for this position.


Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience including coordination of projects in public health field; OR an Associate's degree and four years of relevant experience; OR six years of relevant experience. A Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in quality improvement and/or performance management and provision of technical assistance to improve contractor, partner or staff performance on and achievement of established goals and deliverables.
• Experience in program monitoring and evaluation.
• Experience developing educational strategies and materials.
• Master’s degree in a related field.

Conditions of Employment
Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.
