Hotel Sales Manager

The Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Latham NY is looking for an experienced Hotel Sales Manager to join our team! This position will be responsible for developing and fostering business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls, and tours of the hotel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:

  •        Clear understanding of the hotels business strategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meet those goals.
  •        Updates action plans and financial objectives quarterly.
  •        Identifies new markets and business opportunities and increase sales.
  •        Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
  •        Trains new and existing sales staff.
  •        Represents hotel in marketing community events and exhibits.
  •        Implements all sales action plans related to my market areas.
  •        Provides quick and timely responses to business partners.
  •        Develops professional long term business relationships
  •        Provides the highest quality of service to the guests at all times.
  •        Works closely with the General Manager to ensure financial needs of the hotel are being met
  •        Other duties may be assigned.



  •       Associates degree in business administration or sales preferred
  •       3 to 4 years’ experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area
  •       Knowledge of Volume Group Room and Corporate Market, or SMERFE Segmentation
  •       Polished personal presentation with warm, confident, and hospitable personality
  •       Attention to detail
  •       Excellent computer and mathematical skills and knowledge
