Inside Software Sales Representative

HAPPY Software is a full-service  firm of approximately 30 people located in Saratoga Springs (with a smaller office in Boston). We have been in existence for about 20 years, and are highly respected for our solutions to address the needs of Housing Authorities that manage HUD Housing Programs.

Some of the essential duties and responsibilities :

-          Proactively assesses, clarifies and validates client needs to maintain and grow sales revenue

-          Work directly with prospects from needs assessment through to sale

-          Build, maintain and document all sales activities in the internal lead system

-          Create quotes and provide clients with requested information

-          Coordinate, manage and lead client facing meetings, either in person, conference calls or webinars, which provide product demonstrations

-          Maintain high level of customer retention through customer outreach programs and product upgrade opportunities

-          Work with marketing to develop and execute product specific sales campaigns


We are seeking a candidate with a bachelor’s degree with some sales experience, preferably in technology or B2B sales.   Additionally, the candidate should possess the following skills and abilities :

-          Friendly and enjoys talking with people

-          Ability to work collaboratively in a project and/or team environment

-          Possess high energy, strong desire to achieve individual and company sales goals and maintain a positive attitude

-          Proficient in the English language including strong written and verbal communication skills

-          Excellent project and time management skills

-          Utilize multiple communication vehicles (phone, email, chat and internal lead system)

-          Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including strong email etiquette and professionalism

-          Ability to collaboratively solve problems

-          Ability to work independently with initiative and self-motivation

-          Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and clients

-          Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
