IT Support Technician

The incumbent will provide PC and end user technical support for IT services for HRI's Corporate Office. Specific duties will include: problem solving PC, printer, and scanner issues; providing hands-on training for end users as necessary; supporting the Outlook mail client and troubleshooting connections to Office 365; setting up new equipment for end users, which includes: lifting/moving equipment to and from workstations, installing/updating programs; connecting/plugging in equipment (which may be under desks or in other areas that are not easily accessible); maintaining an inventory of end users computers; ensuring an adequate inventory of toner cartridges for laser printers; coordinating purchases of new computer equipment and supplies for the office; interfacing with contractors to manage changes to the phone system, including moves, new hires, and terminations; working with service contracts to ensure that computer room preventative maintenance and inspections are complete; and troubleshooting internet and other accessibility issues, as necessary. Other related duties as assigned.
Salary Min USD $43,380.00/Yr.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field; OR an Associate's degree and two years of relevant experience; OR four years of such experience. Knowledge and hands-on experience supporting PCs, scanners, printers and mobile devices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to: lifting, up to 25 pounds; bending; and reaching.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with Office 365. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to learn server technologies such as Linux, VMware, and Windows Server. Some experience with Microsoft Active Directory. A+ Certification or equivalent and at least one year of PC hardware repair experience.
