Sun - Thu, 8 pm - 2 am
The Late Night Circulation Supervisor will manage the library Circulation Desk during the 8 pm to 2 am work shift and will be responsible for supervising and training student employees, processing ConnectNY (resource sharing consortium) and Interlibrary loan requests, and maintaining a welcoming service desk. The selected candidate will also be expected to act as back-up for the Interlibrary Loan Specialist and troubleshoot library technology, including printers/scanners. As the building manager during the late evening, the Late Night Circulation Supervisor will report facilities problems to Campus Safety and library administrators.
The position requires a minimum two years of college, supervisory experience, customer service experience, excellent computer skills including demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps, and some familiarity with Macs and PCs. Candidates must also be safety conscious, able to work with a diverse group of individuals, must display excellent interpersonal and communication skills, must have strong collaborative skills, and be committed to promoting the value of diversity and student success. Candidates must be flexible, able to adapt to dramatic work flow changes during the term, and possess the ability to learn new things quickly. Library experience preferred.
