The Purpose of Your Role:
The Marketing Specialist is a critical member of the Marketing team who is primarily responsible for activities relating to client communications, events, social media and the firm’s public website. This role is the creative lead behind promoting the Sentinel Benefits brand to our prospects and customers.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in building and engaging the company’s customer base, and creating effective strategies that will promote the long-term growth of our firm. This position is located in Wakefield, Massachusetts.

 

Qualifications:

The Expertise We’re Looking For:

  • Three + years of experience in a Marketing role or applicable experience
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, and collaborative environment
  • Good taste, a sense of aesthetics and a love for great copy and witty communication
  • Creative and self-motivated
  • Ability to research and write effectively on a wide range of topics
  • Strong project planning, scheduling, and tracking skills
  • Basic information layout skills for driving creation of clear, visually appealing, and compelling emails and landing pages

The Expertise We’re Looking For:

  • Plan, communicate, and execute all live and virtual prospect and client events
  • Analyze the success of each event and propose creative new improvements to the attendees’ experience
  • Drive social media strategy and activity to expand Sentinel Benefits’ footprint on target channels
  • Create shareable content appropriate for specific social networks to expand our brand messaging and to create a cohesive presence with consistent engagement
  • Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers, leads and brand new audiences that don’t yet know us
  • Manage distribution of external communication programs (client email alerts and other marketing related communications) by utilizing the company’s marketing automation platform (MAP)
  • Maintain and manage all aspects of the public website to ensure overall quality, accuracy and relevancy
  • Improve visibility online and increase demand/website traffic via search engine optimization (SEO) to deliver conversions
  • Work closely with business areas and sales teams on content creation
  • Develop and communicate marketing tactics and results and project recommendations to management and executives

About You:

We are looking for someone who has an outgoing personality and customer service focus. This person should feel comfortable jumping into projects and tasks, and like helping to finding resolutions.
Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Experience working with marketing automation, CRM, CMS tools and Google Analytics
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • Some travel required for this position
  • Availability to work in the Wakefield, MA office
