This position is located in an Area Office, USDA, Rural Development (RD). This position serves as a trainee assisting higher graded technicians in performing a variety of technical and clerical support functions involving loans, grants and loan guarantee programs.
-Provides information to field offices, and internal and external customers.
-Prepares correspondence and maintains records, reports and files.
-Uses automated systems to perform work assignments.
-Reviews various loan/grant-making and related documents for the purpose of processing and servicing.
-Researches payment information, assists borrowers with payment assistance functions.
-25% or Greater
-US Citizenship is required.
-Must sign a USDA Pathways Program Participant Agreement.
-Must complete a background and security investigation.
-All requirements must be met by the closing of this announcement.
The Pathways Recent Graduate Program is a 1-year Excepted Appointment program structured to help prepare and promote individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions. Recent graduates may be non-competitively converted to a term or permanent appointment if all training and program requirements are met. Conversion is neither guaranteed nor conferred.
