Point of Connections Management – Process/Mechanical

Position summary:

POC management team member responsible for assigning facility/utility points of connections to meet tool requirements according to Client’s tool install and process lateral system design criteria and capacity availability of existing/planned infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collect, align, and update tool facility/utility requirements and flow rates with vendor and/or engineer provided information
  • Enter/update POC assignments in Client’s custom built database
  • Conduct capacity gap analyses on valves, piping, and other components of facility supply & waste systems
  • Identify solutions to resolve capacity gaps to minimize cost and schedule impacts
  • Follow Client’s POC management workflows approval processes
  • Participate in Tool Install design reviews to assure all facility requirements are accounted for and available for construction
  • Support closure of facility POC related RFIs for Tool Install construction
  • Conduct field walks in fab and subfab areas to validate POC name, location, availability, etc as needed
  • Use standard engineering methods to analyze and resolve conflicts
  • Exercise initiative and creativity within limits of job scope
  • Interface with cross functional stakeholders and peers
  • Effectively communicate across functional departments and levels
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs


Education & experience:

  • Degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical or other Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of direct facility design, tool install, equipment or process engineering experience
  • Experience with facility systems and/or database entry
  • Understanding and appreciation for data integrity and means/methods to achieve
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
  • Paces work and execution of commitments to meet business needs
  • Ability to prioritize workload, proactively seek feedback to ensure objectives are aligned and met
  • Team player and desire to work in dynamic, fast paced environment 

Essential skills:

  • Experience with database development and maintenance
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Experience with chemical and/or gas supply systems
  • Assertiveness with discretion and respect in all interactions and responses
  • Requires flexibility and commitment to make the time to work with Client’s technology partners
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
