The Program Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the administrative and clerical needs of the Music, Theater & Dance, and Visual Arts departments. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing standard administrative support, overseeing department budgets including reconciling, forecasting, and processing various finance forms, supervising and delegating tasks to the Office Assistant, assisting in gathering data and scheduling interviews for faculty reviews and job searches, handling all tasks for student evaluations, scheduling and handling arrangements for visitors, concerts, and student events.
The position requires a high school diploma, with an Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred, and three to five years of office support experience, preferably in an educational environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, extensive computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google apps, as well as web site maintenance software and software for creating newsletters. Candidates must also be safety conscious, able to work with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, and other constituencies, both on and off campus, be flexible, and possess the desire and ability to learn new things. Knowledge of financial, room reservation, credit card, and other operational systems is a plus.
