PROGRAM COORDINATOR, MEDICAID LONG TERM SERVICES AND SUPPORT, MVP, NY

Description:

The Program Coordinator, Medicaid Long Term Services and Supports Department manage the program requirements by Medicaid Redesign Initiatives including the Restricted Recipient, Medicaid Health Homes and Personal Care Services programs. Oversees the relationships with providers, members and internal MVP staff involved with these programs to ensure that MVP is operating in compliance with NYS regulations and MVP policies. Position also ensures compliance with all long term services. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

 

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business or health care related field.

 

Minimum Experience:

Three years’ experience in a managed care environment.

Leadership or oversight of a program or area required.

Prior experience working with Health Homes preferred.

 

Required Skills:

• Demonstrated success in leading and executing department projects.

• Superior communications skills with the ability to communicate easily at all levels of the organization and with community organizations.

• Ability to present data to groups and lead meetings.

• Clear, concise and accurate writing and presentation skills.

• Detail oriented, demonstrated ability to work autonomously and prioritize workload according to department goals with strong orientation to deadlines.

• Decisive and exercises good judgment under pressure with strong organizational and analytical skills.

• Demonstrated experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and management of data and reports.
