JOB SUMMARY:

The Worksite Wellness Program Coordinator is responsible for directing program interventions for their assigned corporate business partner(s). Works in conjunction with the corporate business partner, including any established wellness teams at the business partner to develop, implement, communicate, and evaluate the wellness program designed to improve the overall health and wellness of employees. May oversee operations of a Corporate Wellness Center and coordinate all fitness programming within the center. The Worksite Wellness Program Coordinator will serve as wellness program expert and serves as “consultative” resource for the wellness teams. Performs other duties at assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field required. Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) or ability to become certified within 6 months of hire required. Individuals with certified health designation such as CHES, CWPM, RD, RN or other health related licensure/certification preferred.

Master’s degree in public health or health promotion preferred.

Minimum Experience:

2 years of experience implementing worksite wellness programs, or equivalent experience in health education, public health, or other related health related field may be considered.

Ideal candidate will have experience and strong knowledge of strategic planning related to health promotion including data analysis and evaluation.

Required Skills:

• Demonstrates commitment to serving the customer effectively.

• Demonstrates ability to maintain composure and professional demeanor in stressful situations when dealing with all levels of customers, members, vendors, and staff.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write correspondence, analyses, and reports for external customers.

• Strong presentation skills and ability to conduct employer presentations and question-and-answer sessions.

• Demonstrates reliability and flexibility to meet the needs of the team.

• Strong problem-solving, analytic and organizational skills.

• Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in all interactions.

• Knowledge of MVP products and service area, organization, managed care, other health care insurance and employee benefit products helpful.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines.

• Working knowledge of behavioral change theory and application principles.

• Proficient with Windows, Intermediate Word and Intermediate Excel. Experience with databases and information tracking programs preferred.

• Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

• Some early mornings/late evenings required.
