Program Coordinator I

The Program Coordinator I will be responsible for logistical planning, contract management, and educational program development for meetings, training sessions, and special events for the Bureau of Emergency Medical Services (BEMS). Specific duties will include: developing Request for Proposals (RFPs) for all BEMS meetings, trainings, and conferences; reviewing and negotiating contracts with vendors; conducting site visits for proposed host venues; assisting to develop educational content for the annual EMS conference; coordinating the production of conference brochures, announcements and participant registration materials; coordinating the planning and production of the EMS Memorial; providing guidance on the requirements of Article 30 as it pertains to the NYS Emergency Medical Services 10 Commissioner Advisory Council (SEMSCO), State Emergency Medical Advisory Committee (SEMAC), sub-committees and bylaws; and supervising staff. Other related duties as assigned. 



Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and three years of experience in the conduct or administration of a public health, health regulatory or human service related program; OR an Associate's degree in a relevant field and five years; OR seven years of such experience. At least one year of experience must have included supervision of staff and/or program management. A Master’s degree in a relevant field may substitute for one year of general experience. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Public health educational program oversight experience. Experience in the development of Requests for Proposals (RFP), review and award process. Contract negotiation and management experience. Proficiency with Roberts Rules of Order. Understanding of Emergency Medical Services continuing education requirements. Certified Meeting Professional certification. Familiarity with the CVENT software package.
