Program Coordinator I

The Program Coordinator I will have overall responsibility for the project and planned activities for the "Pathways to Success" initiative, which aims to develop and implement programs to improve educational, health and social outcomes for expectant and parenting teens, women, fathers and their families, focused in New York City. Specific duties will include: establishing and managing contracts; monitoring the activities of sub-contractors; providing technical assistance to staff and sub-contractors; conducting comprehensive site visits: developing and implementing trainings, assessing evaluation activities, and provide technical assistance for community partners. Other related duties as assigned. 


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience including the management, coordination, or implementation of program activities in a public health or health related field. A Master's degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in maternal and child health and/or working in a large, statewide or regional public health program. Experience managing contracts, including the development and review of budgets and work plans and approval and tracking of expenditures; preparing reports; and developing/writing grant applications. Experience with public service outreach campaigns. Experience independently performing site visits and serving as an independent representative of an organization and its mission.
