The incumbent will provide data analysis and support for work with Medicaid managed care plans to implement evidence based interventions to improve colorectal cancer (CRC) screening among their patient populations. This position will work closely with the CRC grant project team (Bureau of Chronic Disease Control/Office of Quality and Patient Safety and selected Medicaid managed care plans) to provide analytic support. Duties include: collaborating with and providing data to partnering health plans; conducting data analysis to identify eligible enrollees for outreach activities; assisting in the development and administration of surveys; analyzing survey data; calculating colorectal cancer screening measures using Medicaid encounter data; performing ad hoc analyses to inform and guide project initiatives; and contributing data for inclusion in required reports. Other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related field and two years of research experience in the collection and evaluation of data. A Master's degree may substitute for one year of the research experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, mathematics, computer science, social sciences, engineering, health administration or a related field. Proficiency in SAS and SQL programming. Experience in data management and familiarity with health data. Experience working on interdisciplinary teams is also desirable.
