Programmer/Analyst, New York State Assembly

To analyze user information technology needs in a business-oriented applications programming environment and design new or modify current applications systems; interpret and implement NY State Financial System requirements; define system requirements; perform application programming and participate in logical database design.  Perform all aspects of analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of new systems, applications programs, and enhancements; resolve programming problems and determine appropriate solutions. Proactively identify programming needs; assist with resolution of operational issues promptly and professionally; develop and recommend innovative solutions and work collaboratively with others in a team orientated environment.



(Independent State Agency) - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science OR Associate’s degree in Computer Science with a minimum of 4 years’ experience. Experience with database application programming with demonstrable ability to program using SQL.
Good oral and written communication skills.
