This position is being offered through the SUNY Administration Sponsored Programs Office, as operating location of the Research Foundation for the State University of New York, a private, nonprofit educational corporation supporting research, education and public service at the State University of New York.

Job Description:

The Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Community Colleges and the Education Pipeline is seeking a skilled, organized, and self-directed professional with strong skills in communication and project management for the temporary position of Project Coordinator of the SUNY Strong Start to Finish (SSTF) grant initiative. This is a temporary, full time assignment that is intended to last through March 31, 2021 to support implementation of SSTF scale-up initiatives across the SUNY system. The Project Coordinator will report to the Director of Community College Support in the Office of Community Colleges and the Education Pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for overall SSTF scale-up project activities including grant tracking and reporting requirements
  • Provide support for Senior Vice Chancellor, Director of Community College Support and members of the SSTF leadership team and advisory council
  • Provide support for campus, regional and state professional development activities including scheduling meetings and institutes both in person and via phone/web conference with technical experts, coaches and college teams
  • Assist in project coordination, communication, and preparation of written and electronic materials and reports
  • Assist with managing budget and travel activities
  • Travel in support of project activities and events, if needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred
  • At least two years of experience in program or project management, communications and event planning or related experience; ideally in an education setting
  • Familiarity with budgets and grant reporting preferred
  • Ability to work with and coordinate activities of multiple groups including faculty and administrators, national experts, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to be flexible, positive, take initiative, and demonstrate good judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Salary:  $40,000-$50,000
