A highly successful multi-disciplinary, employee owned engineering firm located in Upstate NY, is seeking a project engineer and senior project engineer (civil) to join its Land Development team. The firm has technical expertise in engineering, surveying, environmental services, planning and landscape architecture and is known as one of the best places to work in the area.

Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities include technical design and project management for public and private clients (for the senior level position) Technical responsibilities may include:

  • Preparation of inventory assessments, analyses and reports
  • Development of detailed site and grading plans and erosion and sediment control plans
  • Storm water management design, water and wastewater design, roadway and parking design and construction detailing and specifications

Project management responsibilities may include development of professional services proposals, management of projects and clients, development of technical approaches to projects, and participation in public presentations and speaking engagements.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have a B.S. in Civil (or Environmental) Engineering with 4-6+ years for the Project Engineer and 7-10+ years for the Sr. Project Engineer/ Project Manager with demonstrated success in a professional consulting environment.  Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) NY is strongly preferred.  Technical writing, solid verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with clients, project teams, and colleagues internally are required skills. Solid CAD design skills and experience with Civil 3D are a plus. Prior Project Management experience is required for the senior level position.
