The New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services (DHSES) is currently recruiting personnel to work in their Albany office to assist in the Transportation Training Security Initiative.

DHSES is looking for motivated, outgoing individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in public safety. Homeland Security Program Analysts are responsible for strengthening
New York’s homeland security strategy through conducting training and outreach, and communication and coordination with the citizens and DHSES stakeholders. These
positions under the Governor’s 2017 Transportation Training Initiative will be based out of the Albany offices.


  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one recognized by the New York State Education Department and two years of experience in intelligence analysis or in conducting homeland security, counter terrorism or emergency preparedness analysis and assessment in a law enforcement, intelligence, homeland security, emergency management or response organization. A master’s degree may substitute for one year of the experience.
  • Proficiency in the Spanish language and experience with classroom instruction, group facilitation and training is preferred but not required.
