Basic Function:

Provide social work counseling services in the individual, group and consultant setting and as directed by student Individual Education Programs. Student populations served include elementary, middle and high school ages identified with deafness and hard of hearing or multiple disabilities. The potential to serve other disabilities is also possible in this position. Sign language skills are preferred, but training will be offered to strong candidates if necessary.


1. Assessment, case management, counseling and referral for youth and families. 

2. Consultation and collaboration with teachers and administrators.


A. School Social Worker certification OR School Psychologist certification
B. Strong clinical experience with youth and families. 
C. America Sign Language is preferred as the position will serve students in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing program.
