Espey Mfg. & Electronics Corp is a Power Electronics Design and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) company with a long history of developing and delivering highly reliable products for use in military and severe environment applications. All design, manufacturing, and testing is performed in our 150,000+ square foot facility located at 233 Ballston Ave, Saratoga Springs, New York. Espey is a small business that is ISO AS9100 certified and publicly traded on NYSE Amex (ESP). Espey was founded in 1928 and continues to be successful through the design and manufacture of new and improved products by using cutting edge and emerging technologies.

Espey services include design and development to specification, build to print, design services, design studies, environmental testing services, metal fabrication, painting services, and development of automatic testing equipment. Espey manufacturing is vertically integrated and will produce individual components (including inductors), populate printed circuit boards, fabricate metalwork, paint, wire, qualify, and fully test items in house; mechanically, electrically and environmentally.

Espey’s primary products are power supplies, power converters, filters, power transformers, magnetic components, power distribution equipment, ups systems, antennas and high power radar systems. The applications of these products include AC and DC locomotives, shipboard power, shipboard radar, Airborne power, ground-based radar, and ground mobile power.



The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in project/program management, with increasing levels of responsibility, program value and complexity.  Candidate must have demonstrated the ability to lead a program lifecycle, from concept through delivery.  Strong disciplines in customer development, scheduling, Stage Gate management, and program financial management are required.  The incumbent will be required to lead the development of a technical proposal and transition to program execution using proposal artifacts.  Emphasis will be placed on requirement management, risk management and the ability to lead a team to meet demanding schedule and budget constraints.  Demonstrated Knowledge of U.S. Government contracting including FAR/DFAR is required for this position. Candidate must have excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers.  The candidate must have a strong understanding of accounting, contracts, supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing principles.  An understanding of export regulations is beneficial.  Must be detail oriented and have the ability to work in a fast paced, high demand environment, be a self-starter and capable of working independently and with all departments to meet customer requirements.  BS in business or engineering, or equivalent experience in the military sales, power supply and/or transformers industry is preferred.  Program Management Institute PMP certification is a plus.
