Senior Technician/Assistant IT Director

We are looking for a talented candidate to help manage all information systems of the organization, maintain security and business continuity, and project/manage infrastructure upgrades and external consulting service. This position reports directly to the IT Director, and will be on call 24/7 in case of emergency.  The ideal candidate has the ability to provide technology leadership and vision for the organization, and provide a strategic level of guidance in support for all information technology initiatives.  They will have the ability to lead and manage technology across the organization, to ensure the privacy and security of user information systems, and to effectively manage information technology assets.  Candidate will have the ability to ensure network and data security, including hacking and intrusion techniques and countermeasures.  This position will provide day to day support to users within the organization, troubleshoot and maintain all systems and services. Candidate will implement and monitor controls to ensure standards are maintained, as well as developing plans for implementation of new projects, while coordinating with project leaders.  They will maintain awareness of changing IT trends and regulations as it relates to the organization and take corrective action as required.  Must have ability to maintain and support VMWare, Windows Operating Systems, ERP systems, firewalls, switches and routers. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to document configuration changes and processes. Must be able to solve complex problems under pressure.  Experience with NIST, SOX requirements, NIPSOM & RMF, incident response and incident reporting are a plus. Must be able to obtain security clearance, and have minimum 5 years of related experience. Employment with Espey requires US citizenship.
