Espey Mfg. & Electronics Corp is a Power Electronics Design and Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) company with a long history of developing and delivering highly reliable products for use in military and severe environment applications. All design, manufacturing, and testing is performed in our 150,000+ square foot facility located at 233 Ballston Ave, Saratoga Springs, New York. Espey is a small business that is ISO AS9100 certified and publicly traded on NYSE Amex (ESP). Espey was founded in 1928 and continues to be successful through the design and manufacture of new and improved products by using cutting edge and emerging technologies.

Espey services include design and development to specification, build to print, design services, design studies, environmental testing services, metal fabrication, painting services, and development of automatic testing equipment. Espey manufacturing is vertically integrated and will produce individual components (including inductors), populate printed circuit boards, fabricate metalwork, paint, wire, qualify, and fully test items in house; mechanically, electrically and environmentally.

Espey’s primary products are power supplies, power converters, filters, power transformers, magnetic components, power distribution equipment, ups systems, antennas and high power radar systems. The applications of these products include AC and DC locomotives, shipboard power, shipboard radar, Airborne power, ground-based radar, and ground mobile power.

 

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess a BSEE and have 5+ years’ experience and demonstrated ability in developing and supporting power supply designs and products for high reliability and military applications. Experience with power levels >1KW, AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC. The individual must understand and be able to develop switch-mode power supplies using various topologies and techniques to achieve an efficient, reliable, EMI/EMC compliant design. Experience with rugged/military designs, thermal packaging and layout of power electronics is required. The candidate will be expected to thrive in a small company atmosphere where they will be involved with proposing solutions to customer specifications, through development, test and production support of power conversion products.
