Supervising Training Specialist

The incumbent will work collaboratively as part of the RIC Cooperative Technology team to supervise a regional pod of staff charged with leading school district IT planning along with providing onsite and remote support allowing the districts to evaluate, promote, and support all aspects of the use of technologies to support student achievement in the pre K-12 educational setting. In addition, the incumbent will work closely with the Model Schools team to identify instructional technology needs and supports.


The incumbent will coordinate Model Schools staff and activities designed to provide cooperative professional development that enable the effective use of instructional technology in the classroom. The incumbent also supervises the creation and implementation of in-person and web-based Model Schools learning opportunities, as well as webinars and access to targeted online learning communities. The incumbent also assists districts in the development of customized trainings to address district specific needs.The incumbent will have a particular focus on local and regional data collection and analysis in order to plan for and develop targeted training and skill development in the area of instructional technology and CSLO development. This skilled professional works independently and collaboratively with colleagues and does other related work as assigned.

-Holds a current New York State administrative certificate

-At least three (3) years of successful, full-time experience as a classroom teacher

-Two (2) years school district or BOCES administrative experience preferred

-Documented experience in the area of staff development planning and delivery. Specific experience in the area of integration of technology for instruction preferred

-Degree in Instructional and/or Assistive Technology preferred

Starting Salary: $54,813-$63,035 based on experience and qualifications. The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint supported criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001. The selected applicant will be responsible for all fingerprinting fees.
