Instruct high school students in the proper practices, procedures and skills associated with Electrical Trades. To instruct students on residential and commercial wiring methods as well as conduit and raceway layout, design and bending calculations. Instruct students in classroom as well as work sites.

Starting Date:   August 15, 2017

Application Deadline:  June 9, 2017

Starting Salary:  Dependent upon step of current contract prorated to the amount of services rendered. The selected applicant will be subject to a fingerprint support criminal history background check in accordance with SAVE Legislation effective July 1, 2001. The selected applicant will be responsible for all fingerprinting fees.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with Certification in Electric Technology or Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree with two (2) years of Electric Technology experience with eligibility of Transitional A or Certificate of five (5) years of Electric Technology experience with eligibility of a Transitional A Certificate.

  • Must have a strong working knowledge of AC/DC electrical theory and related mathematics.
  • Must have an excellent working knowledge and practical application experience of the N.E.C and of electrical instrumentation/test equipment.
  • Must be proficient in both residential and commercial wiring methods and applications to include conduit and raceway layout, design and an emphasis on bending calculations.
  • The candidate will be able to manage large sized classroom (15+), which includes live work managing a project and classes on work sites as well as teach within a lecture and a laboratory classroom
