Openings in the Department of Exceptional Children:
Speech-Language Pathologists
-Providing primary and related services for students who qualify to receive speech-language services. Openings in our Pre-Kindergarten classrooms as well as school age classrooms.
K-5 Self-Contained Cross-Categorical classrooms
-Serving students in a self-contained setting following the common core standards while meeting Individualized Education Plan goals.
K-5 Self-Contained SED/Behavior Support classrooms
-Serving students in a self-contained setting following the common core standards while meeting Individualized Education Plan goals.
9-12 Self-Contained Functional Skills/Life Skills classrooms
-Serving students in a self-contained setting following the Extensions to the Common Core standards while meeting Individualized Education Plan goals. Students will gradu-ate with a certificate of attendance.
Support structure for new EC teachers to the Randolph County School System:
- Monthly meeting with our support staff
- Opportunities to collaborate with teachers across the district to plan
- Weekly support at the school level on IEP compliance, instructional techniques, data collection/progress monitoring
- Weekly support at the school level from an assigned school psychologist
- District level support staff in the areas of: Transition, Autism, Behavior Support, Adapted Physical Education, Delivery of Differentiated Instruction, and much more!​
