Technician/Architectural Engineering Designer, Albany Management

Albany Management is the Capital Region's Premier Property Management Firm. Albany Management has an immediate opening for an experienced Technician/Architectural Engineering Designer for projects related to the commercial office buildings and apartment communities that we own and manage.
Applicant(s) must enjoy working with others, have exceptional communication skills, be team-oriented, and have a strong work ethic. Attention to detail is a must. This is a professional work environment in a continuously growing organization! 

The successful candidate will work with our team of Property Managers and knowledgeably participate in the following activities:

  • Document Existing Building and Site Conditions (inspect, investigate, measure, assess finish conditions, etc.)
  • Determine NYS Building Code requirements
  • Design Office Layouts/Space Plans and Update Record Drawings
  • Draw Construction Drawings (floor plans, elevations, site plans, cross sections, details, schedules, etc.)
  • Prepare Specifications
  • Contractor Solicitation
  • Coordinate projects with tenants and staff
  • Scheduling, estimating and material ordering
  • Coordinate and inspect construction of small projects
  • Prepare Building Permit Documents and coordinate with building departments and planning and zoning board


Required Skills: Proven proficiency with AutoCad 15 is an essential requirement.

Software experience required: Intermediate to expert proficiency in: Word, Excel, Outlook and AutoCAD 15.

Additional Information

The full time hours are 8:15 - 5:00 with occasional overtime.
