The Athletics Ticket Manager provides administrative oversight for fan experience and ticket sales to all Union Athletics ticketed events. This individual will respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, feedback and requests from season ticket holders, donors, alumni, faculty and staff, as well as the general public regarding events, tickets, parking and other matters surrounding Union Athletics. The Ticket Manager will promote ticket sales to maximize attendance and act as a representative of the College at various home athletics events. This position will provide oversight to football and men’s hockey game day staff, in addition to supervising a number of student workers. They will be responsible for processing financial transactions for tickets and game day programs. The Ticket Manager will handle orders for season tickets and single game tickets and manage online ticket sales, acting as a liaison to University Tickets. This individual will establish and maintain databases for season ticket holders and other information lists. The position will manage multiple administrative duties while responding to phone, email and in person contacts. This position will also work closely with Business Operations, supporting the financial operations of the department. This will include both regular tasks and other duties as needed. The selected candidate will be required to work evening and weekend hours. The approximate work schedule is January-March, and May-November with exact weeks off to be determined with supervisor.
High School diploma or equivalent, and 5+ years of office support experience required (preferably in an athletic organization or an educational setting). Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Sports Management and 2+ years previous ticket office experience is strongly preferred. Extensive computer experience with Microsoft Office and Google Apps. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, and strong customer services skills is essential. Must be able to handle confidential information appropriately, multitask, be safety conscious, and able to work with a diverse group of individuals.
