Description:

Responsible for developing, conducting, and evaluating new employee and current staff training on Credentialing. This includes preparation and delivery of new staff training program as well as continuing education for existing staff. Responsible for developing and managing training materials and procedures for the Credentialing Team. Performs quality control on new employees and existing employees and conducts any necessary remediation and support. Performs needed analysis on an individual and departmental basis, develops job aides and establishes a trainee evaluation program. Assumes supervisory responsibilities for all Trainees. Works with all Credentialing team members to identify topics for continuing training sessions for departmental staff. Follows up on course effectiveness and makes modifications as necessary. Provides technical assistance and subject matter expertise to staff. Involved as a department representative for corporate projects, task forces and committees. Identifies and implements process improvement initiatives, to increase the operational efficiency and overall effectiveness of Credentialing operations and workflows. Statistical analysis to review opportunities for process and workflow improvement opportunities and the implementation of project plans to facilitate those improvements. Coordinate the training as of a result of involvement in department related corporate projects. Participates in additional. Credentialing training initiatives, as needed. Support the department in areas including operations, processes, procedures, general morale, and provider related issues. Works with IT as needed on system issues affecting the Credentialing. Provides feedback and input in the development of all areas including departmental processes, procedures, and operational decisions. Creates and communicates routine refresher training and performance “tips.” Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory compliance issues as they exist and change from time to time. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Instructional Development, Business or related discipline.

Combination of an Associates’ Degree with 2 years of credentialing experience or Associate's degree with 5 years of professional training experience may be considered. Master's degree in Education or Instructional Development preferred.

Minimum Experience:
Prior experience in instructional design and delivery of technical/healthcare/procedural training.
Managed care industry experience and/or experience in provider services or a medical practice strongly desired.
Credentialing experience is preferred.
Equivalent experience and education may be considered.

• Demonstrated ability in designing effective and diverse learning strategies to facilitate transfer of knowledge and skill development.

• Demonstrated ability in developing and analyzing needs assessments.

• Demonstrated ability in evaluating effectiveness of training strategies.

• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to enable individual to create varied documents, instructional materials, and spreadsheets.

• Working knowledge of accepted training and development methodology and adult learning principles.

• Demonstrated organizational and coordination skills.

• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

• Demonstrated ability to provide customer service to all levels of staff and management.
