University Relations Specialist

Summary: The University Relations Specialist is responsible for partnering with UR Management to establish the relationships and assist with the development of university relations strategies at core schools. Attends campus events and recruits candidates for internships and full-time opportunities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 
• Intern program: 
o Works with business leaders and HR team to identify intern hiring needs and process 
o Partners with the leadership and TA team to effectively convert interns to FTE’s; continues to make recommendations for efficiencies and improvements to this process. 
o Plans calendar of events for interns and ensures events are effectively communicated to interns and other areas of business 
o Ensures managers and interns are adequately informed of the process and expectations 
o Build relationships with program participants to ensure positive experience 

• University Relations & Campus Recruiting: 
o Develops and maintains strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their business needs to assist in aligning UR Programs 
o Identifies and tracks key metrics to support UR’s ability to analyze annual program data to make recommendations on improving recruitment initiatives 
o Partners with employees to attend events and assists in creating collateral for campus recruiting 
o Consults with the TA team and business members on future hiring needs to identify key areas for campus recruiting, as well as high volume periods of hiring 
o Assists in building a targeted strategy for each on-campus recruitment event 
o Collaborates with the UR team to ensure all data entry and candidate communication is compliant and effective 


• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Resources required; at least 1 year of University Relations experience required. A strong process orientation with the goal of implementing or recommending best practices into the UR function is mandatory. Ability to meet goals and objectives in a dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong ability to establish and maintain effective relationships throughout the organization as well as with external customers are a must.
