Utility/ Facility Space Management Senior Designer

Position summary:

Work with design and construction teams to coordinate equipment placement, facility/utility routing, and construction execution to adhere to space management guidelines and layout/2D/3D design models.

Key responsibilities:

  • Comprehend, implement and drive design & construction teams to follow Client’s Site Specific Space Management Guidelines
  • Support closure of space management related RFIs for Tool Install construction
  • Conduct field walks and accurately transfer as-built measurements and observation to design drawings
  • Identify and highlight issues/concerns/conflicts with layout, design, and construction stakeholders
  • Propose solutions to conflicts accounting for current and future conditions
  • Review 2D and 3D models for PLS and Tool Install routing; organize and plan field routing to optimize future flexibility
  • Use standard engineering methods to analyze and resolve conflicts
  • Exercise initiative and creativity within limits of job scope
  • Interface with cross functional stakeholders and peers
  • Effectively communicate across functional departments and levels
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Qualifications:

Education & experience:

  • Engineering Degree
  • 5+ years in field experience in tool install or facility construction
  • Experience with BIM or other 3D modeling platform(s)
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Apply Lean Business Practices and Copy Exact in the approach, thought process, and execution of work and deliverables
  • Assertiveness with discretion and respect in all interactions and responses
  • Requires flexibility and commitment to make the time to work with Client’s technology partners
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Essential skills:

  • Ability to comprehend and understand Tool Install, PLS, and Basebuild design documents and drawing packages
  • Design and/or construction experience in high tech manufacturing facility
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously
  • Paces work and execution of commitments to meet business needs
  • Ability to prioritize workload, proactively seek feedback to ensure objectives are aligned and met
  • Team player and desire to work in dynamic, fast paced environment
