U Ready in GarnetGrove

Accessed in GarnetGrove, U Ready is a career readiness extracurricular program designed to accelerate student professional preparedness. Through this interactive process, you will explore and reflect on your community involvement, experiential learning, course experiences, leadership and learn to articulate your value proposition to employers, fellowship advisors, and/or graduate schools. You will learn and apply career education principles through Career Center resources, events and programs.

As a U Ready Member:

EXCLUSIVE ACCESS TO SPECIAL EVENTS AND PROGRAMS:

From invitations to private meet-and-greet networking sessions with alumni to program workshops and early application opportunities – student participation in the U Ready program increases visibility with leading employers and priority access to career management resources.

THE BADGE OF SUCCESS:

Completion of all program success steps leads to a digital badge – a digital certificate of accomplishment that can be posted in student’s email signature and across social media. This badge will provide employers and alumni with instant evidence that participating students are poised, professional and are U Ready for the futures of work.

Career Center Resources

The Becker Career Center houses a number of online career research tools that allow students to research potential career fields, locate employers by industry/geographic area, and find/apply to internship and job postings. Handshake, the Becker Career Center’s recruiting platform, allows students to search and apply to internship and job postings, view/register for upcoming Career Center events, and connect with employers and other contacts in career fields of interest.

Lynda.com is now LinkedIn Learning. If you have previously taken courses in Lynda.com, all your course info is still there and has been moved over to LinkedIn Learning!

  • Enter your Union email address and you will be directed to your Union Single Sign-on page.
