Sexual Misconduct Policy - Hearings

A hearing is not intended to be adversarial It is intended to provide a fair and ample opportunity for each side to present his/her account of the incident and for the hearing panel to determine the facts of the case, make a determination as to whether College policy was violated, and to recommend appropriate sanctions, if necessary. The hearing is an informal proceeding not comparable to a criminal trial; it is the mechanism by which the College assesses, and as appropriate, takes formal disciplinary action regarding a violation of College policy.
