The Bursar will work closely with other departments to ensure the efficiency and integrity of the billing, student aid and collection processes at Union College. Duties include overseeing all aspects of student billing and collection, assessing tuition payment methods, supervising cashier and accounts receivable functions, implementing appropriate internal controls, and ensuring that the tuition billing and payment process is technologically efficient.


Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a higher education business office environment required. The selected candidate should have a demonstrated understanding and experience with receivables management and banking, possess strong supervisory, customer service and interpersonal skills, and be highly organized and detail-oriented. The selected candidate should also be proficient with electronic spreadsheets, word and student information systems, MS Word, Excel and Outlook (experience working with Ellucian Colleague, Sungard One Solution, Business Objects and/or Cognos preferred). Must be safety conscious and able to work with a diverse group of individuals.
