Union College is seeking a qualified candidate to manage and maintain responsibility for academic planning and financial matters, including financial and budget modeling, preparation and tracking, academic space utilization, and data/informational applications across our entire Academic Affairs responsibility center. The Director of Academic Planning and Finance will act as an expert resource to academic departments for budget, finance, and facilities matters, including the new Integrated Science and Engineering Complex, and serve as a liaison between Academic Affairs and various College departments. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs/Dean of Faculty, the selected candidate will also prepare various board reports and provide information, advice and support.


The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, service-oriented, and technically capable, with excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities. A commitment to a collaborative work environment and the ability to handle multiple priorities are important. A Bachelor’s degree, minimum of five years of related experience, strong quantitative abilities, and Excel/database skills required. Accounting and higher-education experience preferred. Experience and ability to work in, support and help cultivate a diverse and inclusive workplace will be an asset to the successful candidate.
