Union College, a liberal arts institution located in Schenectady, New York is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Men’s & Women’s Diving Coach. This position is full time hourly – benefits eligible. The men’s and women’s swimming & diving programs are a member of NCAA Division III and the Liberty League. Union College sponsors 26 intercollegiate sports, 24 in Division III, with Ice Hockey competing at Division I. Responsibilities include:assisting with recruiting, monitoring the academic progress of swimming & diving student-athletes, assisting with practice planning, communicating effectively with student-athletes, parents, alumni, and administration, and performing various duties within the Athletics Department.
Bachelor’s degree required; previous collegiate coaching or competitive diving experience preferred. The successful candidate should possess solid organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, and have the ability to identify and attract outstanding student-athletes to Union College. Candidates must have an understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, along with a philosophy compatible with a multi-classified liberal arts college with highly selective academic standards. Candidates must be safety conscience and able to work with a diverse group of students.
