The Administrative Assistant supports the general administrative, technical, and clerical needs of two Assistant Directors and one Associate Director including their programs: Student Affiliate phoning program, Annual Giving Communications, Alumni Class Giving program, and the volunteer management program. Duties include: scheduling and handling travel arrangements, processing letters and reports and phone coverage. This position works with alumni volunteers and assists in volunteer management, production of monthly reports, and special projects. Assists in arranging and staffing annual giving events.


The position requires a high school diploma (Associates degree preferred), and two years of experience in an office support position. The selected candidate must have excellent oral, written, and computer skills (including Microsoft Office) and demonstrated experience with Excel and other database programs). The individual must be extremely customer service oriented and possess the ability to work independently and as a team member with attention to detail in a deadline oriented fast paced office environment. The candidate must express willingness to learn fund raising and be available for occasional evenings and weekends. Candidates must also be safety conscious and able to work with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
