Summary:

The Advancement Information Specialist is responsible for accurately recording, maintaining, and auditing all gifts and biographical information from alumni, parents, friends, corporations and foundations. Duties include creating full database records for all incoming freshman and their parents, editing all appropriate student and parent records for graduating seniors, regularly editing student records to reflect drop/add status, and maintaining and regularly auditing the online community for alumni.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Candidates should possess strong writing skills, proficiency in MS Office (particularly Word and Excel), knowledge of Google Apps (i.e. gmail) and experience in collection, evaluation and interpretation of data. Also desired is the ability to work in a self directed manner and make appropriate decisions based on policy and guidelines, communicate effectively and present oral reports to a group of colleagues, and organize and prioritize tasks. Experience utilizing Datatel's Colleague software applications, and experience in bookkeeping, database maintenance, or financial records recording is preferred.
