Event Assistants (8 positions)

Working with the Office of Special Events & Conferences verifying group requirements & finalizing set up details, meal counts, catering, audio visual and any other services. Working with Facilities Services assisting with the set-up/break down of events held throughout campus. Assisting with opening & closing of residence halls: inspecting and preparing rooms, delivering & removing of linens, linen exchange and delivering packaged mail. Organizing and participating in group check in and check out. Monitoring events to ensure proper service and set up. Responding to requests for assistance in a courteous and efficient manner, Performing tasks necessary for the daily operation of the office (telephones, filing, etc.). Other duties as assigned. Knowledge of word and excel a plus.
Must be safety conscious and able to work with a diverse group of individuals. Ability to lift 20-50 pounds. Hours require occasional evenings and weekends, event shift coverage is between 7:30 am - 9 pm. The positions begin June 12 through August 31, 2017.
